Small eco habits that also save money...
What with energy prices soon to skyrocket in the UK, and on top of that the new NI tax change eating further into peoples pockets I’ve been thinking about things you can do around the home to save money and help save the planet.
- Any habit that will reduce your energy bills!
- Turning off lights
- Limiting tumble dryer usage
- Turning the heating down a degree
- Put a jumper & socks on instead
- Shortening shower time
- Turning the water off when soaping your hair, body, or when shaving
- Collect water in the bathtub or a cup to rinse the blade
- Reducing the number of hair-washes each week
- Purchasing an eco-shower head or turning the flow down if you can
- Skipping a shower altogether and having a sink wash
- Swap to eco bulbs
- Don’t leave external doors open longer than necessary
- etc…
- Buying second hand
- Clothing (buy bundles off eBay)
- Books
- Electronics
